Thank you for taking this opportunity to look over our community of The Cherry Blossom Montessori School. Ours is an intentional community, created by all of the adults involved in our children’s lives, in order to nurture and educate our children and ourselves. We are here not only for the children, but for all of the many parts of the family unit and its successful functioning in providing the children the best upbringing and education that we can. We are all an integral part of each child’s successes and failures, joys and heartbreaks, transitions and stabilities. We have joined together to offer each child the greatest chance for self-expression and self-actualization. We believe that by all of us working together in the child’s best interest we can provide a wondrous world.
A child is a part of a family system. Here at our school we wish to involve the whole system in our community. We welcome parents, guardians, grandparents, as well as any significant influence in your child’s life. Just as the Montessori classroom offers an unlimited amount to the children, we offer so much to our families. We want our families to join us in all our parties and events, as well as the many levels of parenting education and Montessori education we offer. It is really vital to us that we create a community together, a community unlike anything most of us grew up with.
May you find this school and its people to be a second home, a place of peace and fulfillment for both you and your child and a place where your family thrives. As we come to know you, we ask that you be comfortable and happy with us, and have all of your expectations and more met. Please feel free to contact us to answer any questions that you might have, attend our admissions tour, fill out and submit an application or schedule your next appointment.
We have a passion for excellence and we keep striving toward it. Children naturally have this passion. As an educational institution, we do everything we know how to remove obstacles from their path. We have definitely reached our goal of being an international school in our population, and we are continuously presenting the people and culture of the world so that our children may be at home anywhere in our world. We are committed to service and to our children. Our staff and our parents give of their time and resources with an open hand and a joyful heart.
The universal values we keep before us everyday. Every week we pick one value to be deliberately conscious of and insure its presence in our lives. You might enjoy doing the same thing at home. It leads to lots of interesting discussions.
I have a deep sense of satisfaction in both our accomplishments and our journey. We are all travelers. Thank you for choosing to be our fellow traveler.
With peace and love,
Leslie S. Meldrum
